Almost Forgot

1 year. People always say that the first year's the hardest. If that's true, bring on tomorrow! Marrying Trent was the best decision I could have ever made. It's been nothing less than a fantastic adventure. Since marrying him, Trent and I have:

• Been to 5 countries
• Visited 6 states
• Treated ourselves to several weekend trips like 6 Flags in San Antonio, Austin, Park City, and Victoria
• LIVED in Houston, TX (something I never thought I'd do)
• Hosted 9 parties
• Been each other's SCUBA diving buddies
• Caught one another's colds 3 times
• Made tons of new married friends
• And witnessed many of our friends get married too!

I feel so lucky and blessed to have met such as supportive, loving, PATIENT and understanding husband. Lately I've noticed all the noise in my classes about dating life and the drama lugged around with it. I loved dating so much, but I'd choose this life every time. Since being married, I've written 12 new songs. I'd like to give an excerpt of one called "Meet me in the Secrets":

"there's a hole, there's a holiness for time and love,

Deeper than the roots.

It's magical, the way push quickly turns to shove

Words water down and dilute"

Words cannot describe the deep and truly sacred connection I have with Trent. Love is so much more than this earthly state can comprehend and I feel I've just started to learn this thanks to the love of my dear...my love...my Trent.

Honeymoon Video!

Hello All!

Just wanted to give a quick update that amidst all my spare time I've been working on creating a video montage of Trent and my vacation to the Western Caribbean. I FINISHED!!! I just uploaded the videos (2 videos because YouTube only allows 10min each) and they are ready to view. The video includes our adventures on board the ship but mostly features highlighted footage of our snorkel and SCUBA experiences where we saw stingrays, lobsters, seahorses, and a giant sea turtle! Enjoy!

Finally Our Honeymoon

From April 25th to May 2nd Trent and I FINALLY went on our cruise. We had only been waiting for four months! We went on the Liberty of the Seas, a two year old cruise boat. We went to Labadee Haiti, Ocho Rios Jamaica, Grand Cayman Cayman Islands, and Cozumel Mexico. It was the best trip ever! Here are some bragging pictures.

The iceskating show was on the the best I've seen...The dancer's were really talented. To our surprise, Del, my sisters Father-in-Law, crashed our honeymoon on the ice stage. He certainly had his skill.

Utah Reception

The Utah Reception was a BREEZE in comparison to the Washington one. It was about 1/20 as expensive and just about the same amount of fun...minus the whole sealing day part. We held it at the Thueson's barn. I always wanted to have it there! In the reception we had a similar display as the other in front. We also had a fondue fountain it was so yummy. And this time I actually had time to eat it!

The Wedding

Woke up at 7:30. Showered blow-dried hair and put make upon.
8:30 Aunt Darcy gives me a hair-do.
10:30 We arrive at the TEMPLE!
12:30 We were sealed. I don't think anything could compare to the feelings I felt in that magical room. The moment we held hands. The sealer spoke his sweet words and the onlookers wore smiles and tears. All I could think about was the color of Trent's eyes. My hands were really but I couldn't keep my eyes off my soon-to-be husband. He was beautiful and at the moment we were perfect.
1:30 We came out of the temple and the madness began! Pictures with the whole group, bridesmaids, groomsmen, my extended family, move, another whole group, family, Trent's family, bah!!! I don't think I could stop stop smiling...which certainly helped the pictures!








After the picture session, Trent and I drove with my dad to the luncheon in the relief society room of the church. Sandy made some awesome chicken noodle and butternut squash soup. This was the only time the whole day I ate because I just felt so relaxed and relieved. I was married already! When lunch was over Trent, and I took a moment to say our first family prayer. Then it was time for the reception:



We started with a procession. Miranda walked in with Leila (so cute). Did I mention my Bridesmaids made all their dresses?! Then Bishop Galuka gave a message and we exchanged rings. Dinner was then announced and the line seemed like it would go out the doors. I HEARD it was delicious. In the meanwhile, Trent and I visited from table to table. It was so nice to see all my school, church and dance friends there supporting me and my new husband.


We cut our beautiful cake (we finally found a baker one that would make it in a day). After that we engaged in all the traditional festivities like the first dance (You and I by Michael Buble), guarder and bouquet toss (I had the throw the bouquet twice because I, as many of you know, do not have any sort of hand eye coordination) and, of course, the get away (we used rice like I've always secretly thought of, like in Cinderella)!




So a job well done, a event well planned, and a fight definitely won. Being married is the best. Those next two nights we spent in the Westin hotel. It was so so wonderful.
